![]() It’s not enough for Catiua to be in your army she must also be alive in the Warren Report.ĬODA 4 requires Vyce, who can only be recruited on Law. As long as he is in your party, he can be dead in the Warren Report (more on that later).įor CODA 2 (and by extension CODA 3 and 4) you MUST be on the Princess ending. HOWEVER, because of the World function you can still do CODA 1 on a Neutral playthrough if you used World to recruit Gildas. He is recruited automatically on Law and Chaos, but is not recruitable on Neutral. Q: Are there any special requirements for them?įor CODA 1, Gildas must be alive. The first three come with unique characters and the fourth has a ton of unique drops.Ī: Like many other side quests, these have Talk topics associated with them and are pretty straightforward to start. There is a special case with Catiua though for CODA.Ī: CODA is a series of four events that are exclusive to postgame. If Catiua is in your party, letting her die at Barnicia will still give you Denam’s Lord class without losing her. Q: What about Denam’s Lord class and Catiua’s Princess class?Ī: These work the same way as recruiting route specific characters. This also applies to maps where you have to rescue a character, like Cistina and Hobyrim. So if you have Catiua as a Princess, she will be a Princess still in all the chapter 1 and 2 fights she’s a guest in. The one exception is if that character was permanently killed, in which case you can rerecruit them as many times as you kill them.Ī: If it’s a character you have in your party, the guest will be the version of that character in your party, but still with guest AI. You will not get the prompt to recruit a character even if you meet their requirements again. Q: Can I have multiple versions of the same character?Ī: No. Because of this, it’s possible to eventually get every single character into your party, even if they are normally mutually exclusive. For example if you recruited Xapan on the Law path on your first run he will still be in your party if you go the Chaos route, where he is an enemy you have to kill. ![]() ![]() Q: Do I have to rerecruit my party members?Ī: Nope! Worlding (time traveling) only affects the state of the world, not the state of your party. Q: What’s the earliest point you can travel back to?Ī: Right after you saved Duke Ronway (the next fight being where Canopus joins you) You can’t do that battle and then World to a future anchor point because the state of the world at that anchor point doesn’t know that you did that fight (because you didn’t continue that timeline to that point). For example, with Ravness: if you missed the Reisan Way battle, you’d have to go back to a point where you can do that battle and then progress through the story normally. This is especially important if you are going to back to do the steps for a recruitment that you missed.Ī: It means you have to replay everything from the step you missed through to when the recruitment happens. If you travel to an anchor point and and make progress, you’ll have to reach the next anchor point for it to save. It’s very different from a typical New Game Plus though: instead of having you start completely over but with a few bonuses you get to keep your entire army and inventory while having the freedom to travel to set points in the timeline called Anchor Points.Ī: Anchor points are set periodically throughout the timeline, usually before or after major events. It can be confusing and a little convoluted, so I thought I’d compile a list of common questions (heavy spoilers ahead!)Ī: World is the game’s version of a New Game Plus. With Reborn close to reaching the two week mark, more and more people are approaching the game’s unorthodox post game.
